Why volunteer? There are as many reasons for volunteering, as there are people who volunteer. The following are just a few of the reasons:

  • meet people
  • hear great music
  • meet the artists
  • establish a "track record" to help get a job
  • test the water before a career change
  • develop new skills
  • contribute to the community
  • get school credit
  • have fun

Volunteering with the Niagara Blues and Jazz Society can either be at an event or in an administrative capacity.

There are many administrative tasks that volunteers can become involved in; venue research, meeting arrangements, committees, event planning, etc.

Volunteering at an event provides the opportunity to work with new people and old friends, as well as experience the awesome entertainment.  You are an ambassador of the Society, you help make an event enjoyable for every participant.
